Hot & Cold Treatment: If you prefer to avoid taking any medication, using a hot or cold compress is a natural way to try to reduce headaches. Peppermint Tea: Peppermint is a natural remedy that is known to help heal the body. When you ingest peppermint, it can soothe the digestive track, which may be causing your headache. Also, the hot peppermint tea can help clear passages if congested sinuses are the cause of your headache.

Pain Relievers: For some people, they prefer to avoid over-the-counter medicine, but in a bind, a pain reliever may be the best and most effective remedy to your headache. Try to take them minimally so that they work when needed.

Acupuncture: If your headaches are chronic, and you have to take pain relievers almost daily, it may be a good idea to look into acupuncture. It’s a natural remedy that can help put an end to your chronic headache burden. It may take a few treatments to notice results, but it is proven effective for tension headaches.

Don’t let your headache hold you back or ruin your day. As soon as you feel a headache come on it’s important to begin treating right away before it worsens. These remedies will likely not be useful for migraines because of the intensity. If nothing helps, you should ask your doctor about a different treatment.
